inababycarriage™ prides itself on our unique and beautiful designs. All of our designs allow you to have a custom announcement with your photos, in a design that suits your style. Started in 2002, we are one of the first companies to ever offer the photo collage style that is so popular today. Over the years, we have found many ways to improve our products. Our cards are printed by professional technicians who care and are some of the best the industry has to offer. We have spent years trying out different printers until we found one that we were proud to represent our line. Every one of our designs is custom made expressly for the inababycarriage™ line. How long does it take to receive my order?
The first step is to pick out the design and place your order through our website and submit your photos. We will build your proof typically within 1 business days* of receiving the photo(s) and have you sign off on the proof by email. Upon signoff, the order is sent to print and will be drop shipped to you directly from the printer, typically arriving in 2-3 business days. The average turnaround from start to finish is about one week, depending on the number of changes needed on your proof.
*Note: Proofs are typically put together within 24 - 48 hours, but at times when our workload is heavy, proofs can take up to 3 days, particularly during the months of November/early December, so plan ahead for the holidays!
Can you describe your products in detail so I know what I am purchasing?
All of the designs you see on this site are exclusively designed for the inababycarriage™ line, so you know when you order an inababycarriage™ design, you are getting something unique.
The PhotoCard style is a 5x7" true photograph, printed on high quality Kodak Endura matte photographic paper.
The PanelCard style has our design printed directly onto 5x7" 12 pt. cardstock and has a coordinating back with the inababycarriage™ logo printed on the back. It is similar to a postcard in that the printing is done on both sides. The panelcards also come with optional coating upgrades:
The standard finishes that comes on all cards is a true matte*. It is smooth to the touch, and simply luxurious. The paper stock is 100# in weight.
**All folding cards are printed with a semi-gloss, which is smooth to the touch and has a slight shine to the finish. This applies to our tri-folds, folding 5x7" cards and thank you cards.
The U/V finish adds a slick and glossy finish to the cards. It also makes the cards a little thicker and makes the colors pop even more.
The linen finish is a textured finish. The paper it is printed on has small 'linen-like' hatch marks IN the paper. It is matte and the paper is a little thinner than the regular cardstock at 90# weight. I find this to be a very elegant finish.
The Pearl U/V is a matte finish that has a shimmery coating. It makes the cards super thick and the shimmer is just gorgeous. If your design has a lot of white in it, this finish does tend to give a cream-colored cast on the white areas of the card.
Our unique line of trifolds are 5x5" when closed and open up to a full 5" x 15", 3-panel, double-sided card. The design has a full bleed (it prints to the edge on the entire card) and you can choose either 5x5" envelopes (these cost $0.63 to mail) or 5x7" envelopes (they cost the standard $0.42 to mail, however, they do leave an inch of space on either side of the card). The above finishes are also available on the trifold line.
The thank you cards are 5.5" x 4" foldover cards printed on 12 pt. cardstock. The design from the front is continued onto the back and the inside top allows for additional photos and the inside bottom has your child's name. U/V Coating is optional for the outside only, so that the inside can be written on with your personal greeting. They cost the standard $0.42 to mail.
The Big Baby return address labels that we offer are just that, BIG! They measure 3x2.5" (the size of a business card, no ones missing these bad boys on your cards) and are created to match any design on the site. They have a peel and stick back and are best placed on the back of the envelope to ensure the BIG size doesn't confuse our friendly postal service workers.
The Mommy Cards are basically a business card for us hard working moms. They also measure 3x2.5" and contain all the important information such as your name, kid's names, phone numbers, address, email etc. and are the same thickness as a business card and don't forget the adorable photos of your little ones to show off to anyone you hand them out to. Being a mom is a full-time job, so we need our own line of business cards!

Once I place an order, when do you need the photos?
After an order has been placed, the photos for that order need to be received within one week of the order date. If the photos have not been received, the order will be cancelled and fully refunded. We will try to contact you before any order is cancelled to see if you are having any issues with getting your photos uploaded to us.
How do I send my photos to you?
After you have placed your order, you should be directed to our photo upload page. If you did not get redirected or just need to go back to send your pictures, click here or simply go to our homepage and click the "upload photos" button on the left.
What format should my photograph be in?
Before taking your pictures, make sure your digital camera is on the highest setting possible. Too often, we receive photos that are too small and there is nothing that can be done to make a small photo larger without distorting the quality. We prefer your photograph as a .jpeg file at 300dpi with no compression. If you have an actual photo that you are scanning in, we recommend scanning it at 600dpi, to be on the safe side. Once we receive your photo, we will let you know if there are any problems with the resolution. Can I use photos that were taken professionally?
All photos that were taken professionally require a release from the photographer. Either your photographer must email us with permission or fax us their release form, granting us permission to reproduce the images. Please note that we can NOT use photos taken at Picture People, JcPenney, SEARS, etc. UNLESS you send in a signed release form from the company authorizing you the rights to reproduce the photo(s).
Will I receive a proof before the order is processed?
Yes! A digital proof will be emailed to you for approval before the order is processed. This ensures that there aren't any typographical or syntax errors. If you would like to see any changes made to your proof, simply reply to the email with the changes and we will send you a revised proof. Your order will not be processed until you give the final approval on the proof for printing. Please look over your proof very carefully. Once a proof is approved for print, you are responsible for the printed order. If any changes need to be made AFTER a proof has already been approved, there will be a reprint fee that is the customer's responsibilty.
Do you require a minimum order?
Our minimum order is 25 cards.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes. It depends on what stage you are in when you cancel. If we have not started on your order, then there is no charge. If we have put together your proof, there is a charge of $25. If we have already received your final approval on the proof and it has been sent to print, you will be responsible for the total order cost. Please note that refunds typically take up to a week to show up on your credit card statement.
If I am unhappy with my order, can I get a refund?
Since our products are custom printed, we do not offer a refund unless there is a problem with the order due to our error. We encourage all potential customers to order a sample pack if you have any questions about the styles offered and how each style looks/feels in person.
Can I use a different photo on my Thank You cards and/or labels?
Yes. You can choose to use the same photo from your announcement/invitation, or a completely new photo for the Thank You cards and labels.
What forms of payment do you accept?

Do you do orders outside the U.S.?
We ship within the United States and Canada. All Canadian orders incur the regular shipping charge plus an add'l 10% charge and are shipped via UPS Standard delivery.
