inababycarriage™ was "born" in 2002 by a newlywed with babies on her mind. That's me, Amber, although I'm no longer a newlywed, but did cross over into motherhood with the birth of my baby girl, Gabrielle, in July, 2004 followed by her baby sister, Gretchen, in January of 2007. When I started this business, it was out of the need for some different and unique birth announcement designs, and thus, I was one of the first companies to ever offer the Photo Birth Announcement that is so popular today. Over the last 6 years of business, I have found more and more ways to improve not only the product, but also the process, and to add many more one-of-a-kind designs that are exclusive to the inababycarriage™ line . I know how fun it is to take pictures, especially with an adorable little baby as the subject, which is why many of my designs feature multiple photos, while others focus on that one great shot of your little one. What I set out to do with my business is to come up with a line of designs that complement all these great baby faces. Creating the designs is a fun process, and one that is ongoing as there is always a need for more and more fresh designs.
In March of 2006, I partnered with PhotoAffections.com, a professional photo lab with an unbelievably streamlined ordering process. By teaming up with them to sell my designs in the photocard style, I am able to offer the best printing available. Since they own all their photo equipment, and have over 12 years experience with printing, my customers can know with confidence that their photo birth announcements are being printed with care and attention to detail as qualified technicians are paying close attention to every order to ensure it looks it's best.
Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you find the perfect design for your special event, whether it be bringing a beautiful new baby into the world, or celebrating his/her first birthday or any event whatsoever... I'm happy to be a part of your special occasion.

| My background: I received my B.A. in Graphic Design from California State University, Sacramento in 1996. My first job out of college was at a computer magazine, which I left after 3 years to move down to Sunny Southern California. I stuck with magazine design for another year until I made the transition over to web design. I was a ".com" web designer for 3 years when I decided to venture out on my own to start my first business, thencomesmarriage.com. It was an inevitible transition to move over to the baby side once the wedding days were farther and farther behind me. In July of 2006, we made another big change and moved from CA to AZ where we are living in our dream house, and just in time as we found out just a month before that I was pregnant with baby #2 (due in Jan. 2007)! My main purpose in starting my home-based business was so that when the time came for my husband and I to start our family, I would be able to work from home and spend time with the kids. So far, so good... |
